Work Description: Macro Solutions is currently working with Software Performance Systems to implement Smithsonian's new PeopleSoft 8.8 Human Resources System. We are providing both functional and technical PeopleSoft expertise. We, also, provide management, leadership and input in developing the overall implementation strategy and project plan. We are currently in Phase I of deploying the PeopleSoft HRMS version 8.8 system at the Smithsonian Institution. Phase I includes A) Concept and Requirements, B) Analysis and Design C) Configuration and Development, D) Testing, E) Deployment (go live), and F) Production Support for Personnel Action Processing, Base Benefits, and Employee Data interface to the National Finance Center (NFC) for Payroll processing. Subsequent phases will deploy additional functionality, including: Time and Labor, Automated Workflow, Self-Service, Labor Relations, Performance Management, Recruiting, etc. The entire deployment schedule could extend through 2005. Specifically, we have been responsible for the following tasks to date: Project Team Lead Macro Solutions is providing the HR Project team lead, and in that capacity, we are managing the HR project team and are responsible for the implementation of all HR modules. We are developing requirements, are involved in the selection of key personnel and offering input in how the project will be conducted. The project is currently entering the first part of the implementation phase, and will continue throughout the systems development life-cycle. Sr. Consultant Aside from the Project Team Lead, Macro Solutions provides one of the key senior positions on the HR implementation project. Our consultant will be reviewing the PeopleSoft system with the client and gathering initial requirements, setup table values, etc. After this work is completed, we will work on prototyping the system with the users, using the system in mock situations to determine the detailed requirements/gaps. From that, we will build specifications for the technical consultants to modify the system. Time and Labor Module Lead Smithsonian has decided to make PeopleSoft's Time and Labor module, the first to be implemented. This is work is highly specialized, complex and extensive. Macro Solutions is providing the lead technical resource to implement the module. Work on this project will continue for the foreseeable future.
